The journey continues through Karanga and Barafu Camps before a midnight summit attempt to Uhuru Peak, followed by descent via the Mweka Route.

Day 1: Umbwe Gate to Umbwe Camp

Drive from Moshi or Arusha to Umbwe Gate for registration. Begin trekking through dense rainforest on a steep and narrow trail with rich vegetation and birdlife. Arrive at Umbwe Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
