Drive from Moshi or Arusha to Umbwe Gate for registration. Begin trekking through dense rainforest on a steep and narrow trail with rich vegetation and birdlife. Arrive at Umbwe Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, Continue along a narrow ridge with steep sections and scenic views before reaching Barranco Camp in the alpine zone.
Climb the famous Barranco Wall and continue trekking through ridges and valleys to Karanga Camp. This is a shorter day allowing for acclimatization and rest.
After breakfast, trek to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit attempt. Arrive in the afternoon, rest, and prepare for the midnight climb.
Begin the summit attempt at midnight, climbing steeply to Stella Point and then Uhuru Peak (5,895m). After enjoying sunrise views, descend to Barafu Camp for rest and continue to Mweka Camp for overnight stay.
Descend through lush rainforest to Mweka Gate where you receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Moshi or Arusha.
